Fundraising Across Our Estates
We’ve been inspired by the recent efforts, kindness and generosity shown by our residents and teams at our estates across the UK; residents have raised funds for local and national charities, supported people in need, and from fundraising events to charitable collections, people have come together in many creative ways to support causes close to their hearts. We thought they all deserved a special mention.
East Anglican Air Ambulance
At our retirement estate in Needham Market, one resident went above and beyond in support of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and, in April took part in a tractor run to raise awareness and funds for the charity. Meanwhile, over the past few months and with the help of friends, he’s been busy organising a series of fundraising activities at the estate including bingo evenings, car boot sales and setting up a charity collection box. Thanks to his dedication and the support of the wider community, they have raised over £1,500. A fantastic achievement, and one he is very proud of.
Cancer Research UK
At one of our developments in Beckenham, residents regularly get together to raise funds for charity. Residents come together each Monday for a ‘Silver Stretch’ exercise class in the communal lounge which is led generously by a volunteer and cost just £3 per person. The weekly contributions are added up and donated to charity.
Their latest donation—£100 to Cancer Research UK—shows how small, consistent efforts can create meaningful impact.
Easter Kindness
Residents over at our estate in Oundle, Coventry, joined forces this Easter to support families in need, collecting and donating over 50 Easter eggs. Working with their local church, the eggs were delivered to children over the Easter holiday, helping to spread a little joy at a special time of year.
Step by Step
Each year at an estate we manage in Aldershot, Hampshire, residents select a charity to support for the year. For 2025/26 they chose Step By Step - a local charity dedicated to helping young people.
Through the hard work of the Social Committee and residents, an impressive £672.91 was raised for this incredible cause. Events included a coffee morning, tombola, quiz and games afternoon and bingo night. Money was also raised through proceeds from the estate’s card-making group and several generous individual donations.
The Royal Surrey County Hospital
In Godalming, Surrey, some of our residents proudly support The Royal Surrey County Hospital. A collection tin has been kept in the communal lounge for several years, allowing residents and visitors to donate whenever they wish.
Recently, the residents received a certificate from the hospital showing the total amount raised over time - an incredible £706.62. A brilliant example of long-term commitment to a local cause.
