Christmas Stories
07 Jan 2021
We’ve got some positive stories from the Christmas period from a couple of our estates which were too nice not to share!
One of our estates has been lucky enough to have a private band ‘The Mead Road Musicians’ play for them socially distanced in the outdoor communal spaces throughout 2020, they returned for the Christmas period to sing carols at noon on Christmas Eve.
Twenty-seven residents turned out for the performance, either wrapped up warm socially distancing in the garden, or joining in from their windows and patio doors, to enjoy solos performed by the musicians as well as the carols played, which everyone sang along to. There were Mince pies and mulled wine available in disposable containers, all round a great show of community spirit at Christmas time.
On another of our estates, one of our Estate Managers Ann, took the time to make Christmas treat bags for all her residents with mince pies and chocolates. A really lovely kind gesture, as she knew some of the residents needed cheering up as they were unable to see their family this year.
