Celebrating 50 Years for Our Very First Estate

11 May 2023

This month, ELM Group's very first estate Vicarage Close celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

Vicarage Close began as the old Flint Vicarage in Ringmer and was converted by Retirement Lease Housing Association in 1973 along with the construction of 3 new two-storey buildings to provide a total of 15 flats for sale to people of retirement age.

In 1979 the old vicarage was granted Grade II Listed Building status; faced with knapped flints with long and short stone window surrounds and quoins, tiled roof, casement windows to north front, and sash windows with glazing bars intact to west front. It is a beautiful building and one we are proud to have managed for the last 50 years.

We are looking forward to celebrating this special milestone with the residents later this month.
